Robert Kaczmarek — Devoted Friend of Life

  • Blog

Wisconsin Right to Life lost an incredible member of our board when Bob Kaczmarek entered paradise. Bob served faithfully on our board, most recently as our Secretary, but he was most instrumental in our Kenosha Veritas Society Dinner.

I looked forward to each year when he would work on ensuring the dinner would be a smashing success. The work of the Veritas Society was very close and dear to Bob; the work was the reason Bob was drawn to Wisconsin Right to Life. When he learned of his cancer, Bob called me to share that he was sick, and to make sure that everything was in order at Wisconsin Right to Life and the Veritas Society. As Bob shared his thoughts with me, all I could think was how typical it was of Bob to be more concerned about others than his health or what his future would hold.

Bob was not just a board member; he was a dear friend. He would call us at the office to check how we were doing, ask if we needed anything, or invite us for lunch to catch up on what was going on. I will miss our conversations about politics, the updates on his daughter, and learning of his next great Disney adventure. Bob truly had a servant’s heart, and spent his time here living out his life to the fullest.

Bob leaves behind his wife and daughter and several of his international students, who he considered daughters. Please remember his family in your thoughts and prayers. The greatest joy is knowing that Bob is now witnessing all the greatness there is to be had when you live a life like he did. May he rest in eternal peace; we know that he will forever be watching over our work and be our guardian angel of life.
