Last Saturday, March 19th, we hosted our first Volunteer Appreciation and Training Luncheon at Dino’s in Portage. It was a great day of visiting with our valued volunteers and honoring them as we took a look at their volunteer efforts county by county. Along with honoring these amazing people, we had a presentation by Legislative Director Gracie Skogman on what life would be like if Roe v. Wade is overturned. Our volunteers were once again eager to give of themselves in new ways if that would be the case. After a great lunch we ended the afternoon with encouragements from Rev. Paul Shirek on the value of giving your all and a look at our future events by Executive Director Heather Weininger.

There was a great mix of new volunteers, volunteers who have been with us for 35+ years, and some that want to begin volunteering. We have amazing volunteers and look to a bright future with them as they continue to take the message of hope to their homes.

I heard from several people how they loved the event and thanked us for putting it on.

We are truly better together!
