Gov. Walker Signs Two Pro-Life Bills Into Law

“Today, Governor Walker signed AB 310 and SB 238 into law, redirecting taxpayer dollars to non-controversial health centers and stopping Planned Parenthood from overbilling Medicaid,” stated Heather Weininger, Executive Director of Wisconsin Right to Life. “It was a joy to see these two pro-life bills signed into law, especially at Life’s Connection in Waukesha, an organization that is dedicated to the health and well-being of mothers and babies.”

AB 310 and SB 238 were recently passed in the State Legislature, and both bills are projected to steer away approximately $8 million taxpayer dollars away from Planned Parenthood, an organization mired in controversy. The two bills are now Act 151 and 152, respectively.

“We thank bill authors Sen. Kapenga and Rep. Andre Jacque for taking the lead on these two bills, and we thank Gov. Walker for signing them into law,” continued Weininger. “Today is an excellent day not only for women who seek true healthcare and support, but also for the taxpayers of the state of Wisconsin who don’t wish for their money to go to controversial organizations like Planned Parenthood.”
