Thanks Sen. Ron Johnson for Standing Firm Against Unnecessary Planned Parenthood Funding in Zika Bill

     "While Senate Democrats are doing everything in their power to sabotage the Zika bill to give more funds to their pet organization, Planned Parenthood, Sen. Ron Johnson has stood firm in trying to provide relief to those affected by Zika without giving taxpayer dollars to the nation’s largest abortion provider,” stated Heather Weininger, Executive Director of Wisconsin Right to Life.

     For months, Democrats have been blocking bills to address the Zika crisis because they are demanding funds go to a few Planned Parenthood affiliates in Puerto Rico. It is to be noted that the areas in which these Planned Parenthood affiliates are located already have other facilities eligible for Zika relief. Abortion activists have been using the Zika crisis to push their agenda promoting abortion for unborn babies with disabilities such as microcephaly.

     “We know that Sen. Ron Johnson stands for unborn babies, regardless of their condition, and will prevent taxpayer dollars from going towards their destruction,” continued Weininger. “As always, we are grateful for Sen. Johnson’s strong stance in defense of life.”
