Kennedy Retirement Opportunity to Nominate Another Pro-Life Judge

“Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy’s retirement signals a major opportunity to protect unborn children,” stated Heather Weininger, Executive Director of Wisconsin Right to Life. “President Trump now has the opportunity to nominate another pro-life judge to the Supreme Court.” 

Today, Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his intention to retire, effective July 31st, 2018. Justice Kennedy has typically been considered a “swing vote” on the Supreme Court for multiple issues, including abortion.  

“President Trump has already proven his commitment to nominating pro-life judges with his nomination of Neil Gorsuch,” continued Weininger. “We look forward to President Trump nominating another jurist of the same caliber to the nation’s highest court.”
