Wisconsin Right to Life’s Executive Director Calls on Governor-Elect Tony Evers to Immediately Remove Tonya Atkinson from the Health Policy Advisory Council

“It certainly didn’t take long for Governor-elect Evers to put into motion what we feared before election day,” stated Heather Weininger, Executive Director of Wisconsin Right to Life.

“Evers made it very clear to us during his campaign how he felt about abortions, it’s just like a tonsillectomy. Now he has placed on a health policy advisory council the President and CEO of Planned Parenthood in Wisconsin.

“It’s clear that this is going to be a long four years of battling against one of the most pro-abortion governors we have had in years. Those of us who have worked for decades to protect life will be fighting at every turn when it comes to Tony Evers and his plans for healthcare.

“It doesn’t take a medical degree to know that killing an unborn baby is not healthcare. I’m calling on Governor-elect Evers to immediately remove Tonya Atkinson from his Health Policy Advisory Council.”

Wisconsin Right to Life’s work is to provide women an alternative to abortion. Planned Parenthood does not provide healthcare to women, especially when performing abortions on living unborn children.
