“Wisconsin Right to Life has been beyond blessed to have pro-life Representative Sean Duffy represent the values of the 7th District for five terms,” said Heather Weininger, Wisconsin Right to Life Executive Director.
“We have two words for representatives like Sean Duffy,” Weininger continued, “Champion and Hero. It’s one thing to win an election and go to Washington as a congressman. It’s another thing altogether to vocally stand up for the right-to-life and fight for pro-life legislation while you are there. Representative Duffy has consistently maintained his strong pro-life values as he represented the people of Wisconsin’s 7th District. We are incredibly thankful for Representative Duffy’s years of tireless work on behalf of the unborn and all vulnerable people.”
Duffy, on his Facebook page, cited health complications with his ninth child, whom his wife, Rachel Campos-Duffy is expecting. “Recently, we’ve learned that our baby, due in late October, will need even more love, time, and attention due to complications, including a heart condition. With much prayer, I have decided that this is the right time for me to take a break from public service in order to be the support my wife, baby and family need right now.”
“Our entire Wisconsin Right to Life community send to the Duffy family our prayers for the health of their child and our best wishes to them as they begin this new chapter,” Weininger concluded.
