President Trump Announces Born-Alive Executive Order

In a pre-recorded video that was shown at this morning’s National Catholic Prayer Breakfast, President Donald J. Trump announced that he plans to sign the Born-Alive Executive Order, which would require medical care to be provided for all babies born alive during failed abortion attempts.

“We are grateful President Trump took the initiative to act on this,” shares Kristen Nupson, Legislative Director at Wisconsin Right to Life. “It has been frustrating to watch Congress fail to pass common sense legislation because of the extremism of Democrats under Speaker Pelosi. President Trump supports the unborn and the sanctity of life. This executive order boldly stands against infanticide and killing our children – born and unborn.”

President Trump also plans to include an increase in federal funding for neonatal research, “to ensure that every child has the very best chance to thrive and to grow.” Kristen Nupson states, “The right to life is backed by medical progress and science. We appreciate that President Trump agrees.”

The full text of the executive order has not yet been made available.
