Wisconsin Right to Life Celebrates the Two-Year Anniversary of the Reversal of Roe v. Wade

June 24, 2024

Today, June 24, 2024, marks the two-year anniversary of the Dobbs v. Jackson Supreme Court decision, which overturned Roe v. Wade. “On this historic day, and every day, Wisconsin Right to Life remains unwavering in our efforts to change hearts and minds to favor life and support mothers and their children through pregnancy and beyond,’ stated Heather Weininger, Executive Director of Wisconsin Right to Life.

Just this past weekend, volunteers from every corner of the state made approximately 6,000 voter contacts, having compassionate conversations about abortion and identifying where we have common ground. “Through these honest conversations over the phone and door to door,” shared Grace Skogman, Legislative/PAC Director of Wisconsin Right to Life, “we have overwhelmingly heard the desire to support mothers considering abortion and offering alternatives as much as possible.”

Sharing alternatives to abortion is what Wisconsin Right to Life does every day, whether it’s through the website 123givelife.com directing women to pregnancy help centers, or providing emergency grants to pregnant women who need assistance paying for rent, groceries, childcare, and other necessities. No woman should ever feel forced to consider abortion due to financial straits.

In addition, Wisconsin Right to Life is constantly educating Wisconsinites on ways we can all advocate for mothers and unborn children. Whether its holding webinars with top medical experts, providing grants to pro-life student groups, or mailing 600 educational boxes to teens and college students four times a year, there are countless opportunities to activate pro-lifers in Wisconsin to become beacons of hope for mothers in need in every community.

“Wisconsin Right to Life has not wavered in 56 years,” continued Weininger, “and we will remain unwavering no matter what challenges may come, for the sake of the women we serve and unborn children we protect.”
