WRTL Responds to Tim Walz as Democratic VP Pick

Today, Vice President Kamala Harris announced Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate for the Democratic presidential ticket.  

In response, Heather Weininger, Executive Director of Wisconsin Right to Life stated, “A Harris-Walz administration would leave preborn children without any legal protection. It would be the most radical pro-abortion administration to date, as both candidates have supported unrestricted abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy.”  

While Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz signed a repeal of the Positive Alternatives Act, which provided support and services to pregnant mothers. He also signed a law to enshrine abortion, for any reason up until the moment of birth, as a “fundamental right.” He also supports using tax dollars to pay for abortions, a position a majority of Americans oppose.  

Gracie Skogman, Legislative and PAC Director of Wisconsin Right to Life, continued, “Tim Walz and Kamala Harris have a record of attacking pregnancy resource centers, which provide compassion and care to women and girls. All they care about is enshrining a “right” to take the lives of innocent preborn children.”
