Wisconsin Right to Life Statement on the Spring Election

Wisconsin Right to Life issued the following statement today following the results of the Wisconsin Supreme Court race and the election of Judge Chris Taylor.

Elections have consequences, and today’s outcome will shape the direction of our state’s highest court for years to come,” said Heather Weininger, Executive Director of Wisconsin Right to Life. “We are disappointed, but we are not deterred. Every human life is worth fighting for, and that will never change.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court plays a critical role in interpreting laws that directly affect the most vulnerable among us: preborn children, women in crisis, the elderly, and the disabled. This shift on the court raises serious concerns about the future of life-affirming policy in Wisconsin, and Wisconsin Right to Life will be watching closely.

But this is a call to engage, not retreat. WRTL’s work has never rested on a single election or a single court decision. It is built on education, advocacy, and real support for women and families that reaches every corner of Wisconsin.

We will continue to work alongside lawmakers, community leaders, and advocates to uphold the dignity of every person,” Weininger continued. “And we will continue to equip and inspire Wisconsinites to step up and meet this moment with conviction and compassion.”

Wisconsin Right to Life remains committed to advancing policies that support women and children, and to building a culture that cherishes every human life.
