Grant Co. Chapter: “Let’s Talk: Having Impactful Conversations with Pro-Choice People”

Augustine Payne, Executive Director of Dubuque County Right to Life, will facilitate “Let’s Talk: Having Impactful Conversations with Pro-Choice People” on Sept. 11 6-7:30 p.m. at 90 S. Second St., Platteville, in the Mound City Motor Branch meeting room.
Have you ever avoided difficult conversations on abortion or other contentious issues for fear of saying say the wrong thing, making matters worse, or appearing to lack empathy? If so, this session is for you! You’ll learn three tips for initiating positive, genuine conversations and persuasive yet kind ways to encourage people to challenge their views. Admission is free; please bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Platteville Food Pantry. Light refreshments will be served.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Anyone wanting to develop skills to communicate positively, respectfully, and persuasively with people with whom they disagree on controversial issues, especially abortion
OTHER: There will be optional breakout sessions to practice skills learned. Light refreshments will be served. Please bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Platteville Food Pantry.
