The New Push for Third Trimester Abortions – Honest

  • Blog

The pro-abortion Obama nightmare continues. Remember when candidates for public office hid behind phrases like “I’m personally opposed to abortion, but…”, or “abortions should be safe, legal and rare”? No more. Candidate Obama and his party brazenly and openly pushed for abortion at their convention, through their policies, and in campaign ads. They are unequivocally and unapologetically hard core pro-abortion.

Obama and his friends have made it very clear that no abortion restrictions are acceptable — none. This is borne out by a bill now in the New York state legislature — the Reproductive Health Bill — which is being pushed by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, a frequently mentioned candidate for President in 2016.

“Gov. Cuomo’s bill elevates abortion to a fundamental right and says New York state can’t discriminate on abortion in benefits or services or anything else it provides,” says Kathleen Gallagher, the new York Catholic Conference’s director of pro-life activities. “Cuomo’s legislation would make illegal abortion restrictions, such as parental-notification laws, informed-consent laws, restrictions on taxpayer funding of abortion and abortion bans of any kind.” The bill would permit unlimited late-term abortion on demand by adding a sweeping “health” exception throughout pregnancy, even in the third trimester. Non-physicians would be allowed to perform abortions, religious liberty endangered, and New York’s maternity programs undermined.

Add to this blatant abortion grab a new film titled “After Tiller.” George Tiller is the notorious late-term abortionist who practiced his grisly trade in Wichita, KS for many years. The film, according to the Los Angeles Times, “….is an intimate and heartfelt look at the four doctors performing third-trimester abortions in the United States, doing so even after the 2009 assassination of such a physician, Dr. George Tiller…” In other words, a puff piece on third trimester abortionists, complete with a photo of them smiling broadly.

It is a long-running nightmare from which America must wake and rediscover its soul. The very fabric of society is at stake.
