Wisconsin Right to Life Applauds the Passage of SB 81 in the State Senate

     "We thank the Wisconsin State Senate for passing SB 81, which would ensure no taxpayer dollars pay for abortions under state employees’ health plans,” stated Heather Weininger, Executive Director of Wisconsin Right to Life.

     On Tuesday, February 20th, the State Senate passed SB 81 by a vote of 18-14.

     “We thank bill authors Sen. Dave Craig, Rep. Andre Jacque, Rep. Ron Tusler, and Rep. Janel Brandtjen for their leadership on this bill, and look forward to its signing into law by Governor Walker,” continued Weininger. “We also ask the State Senate and State Assembly to take action on two other important pro-life bills, SB 423/AB 549 and SB 424/AB 550, the Heal Without Harm Legislative Initiative. With apparent pro-life majorities in each house, there should be no more delay in passing these bills to end the trade and use of aborted fetal tissue.”
