State Senators Confirm Pro-Abortion Appointees

  • Blog

In an incredibly disappointing move, Wisconsin State Senators, by a 17-15 vote, confirmed two individuals to the UW Hospital and Clinics Authority Board who were instrumental in approving a late-term abortion plan in Madison. No matter that the anticipated abortions are dismemberment abortions on babies who can feel pain.

Kudos to Senator Kathleen Vinehout, the only Democrat to vote against these blatantly pro-abortion nominees! One can only imagine the abuse she took from her caucus. Wisconsin Right to Life is urging her constituents to lavishly praise her convictions and right-to-life votes.

A major disappointment was Senator Jeff Plale who voted for the appointees. Plale has been strongly right-to-life in the past and it is impossible to understand why he voted “yes.” Senators Jim Sullivan and Dave Hansen also voted a pro-abortion “yes.”

The good news about the late-term abortion plan is that it has not yet begun. Email correspondence obtained by the Alliance Defense Fund indicates the officials who approved the plan are experiencing difficulties getting the plan going. As requested by Wisconsin Right to Life and other groups, doctors are not sending patients to the Madison Surgery Center and patients are canceling their appointments at that facility. The loss of the almighty dollar is getting to them — too bad it isn’t their morality.

Wisconsin Right to Life is hosting a big event in Madison at 7:00pm on May 6 at the Madison Inn on the Park featuring Dr. Anthony Levatino, a former abortionist who performed dismemberment abortions. Talk show host Vicki McKenna will MC the event. Tickets are $10. Reservations can be made by calling 877-855-5007.
