Pro-Life Groups at Wisconsin State Capitol to Call on District Attorneys to Enforce Abortion Statute 

Madison, WI – This afternoon, Wisconsin Right to Life, Wisconsin Family Action, and Pro-Life Wisconsin held a press conference in the Wisconsin State Capitol Assembly Parlor, to call on District Attorneys in Dane and Milwaukee Counties to enforce the state abortion statute, 940.04. 

Planned Parenthood has illegally resumed performing abortions at its Madison and Milwaukee facilities. Wisconsin’s abortion ban, state statute 940.04 has been in place since Friday, June 24, 2022. 

Heather Weininger, executive director of Wisconsin Right to Life, stated, “Planned Parenthood is blatantly performing an illegal act here in Wisconsin. By performing abortions both in Milwaukee and Madison, they have been breaking the law for one week and one day. Yet, they know full well they are not in danger of being prosecuted since District Attorneys Ozanne and Chisohlm have said they will not prosecute anyone who performs abortions in their counties.” 

Gracie Skogman, legislative/PAC director of Wisconsin Right to Life, continued, “Planned Parenthood is taking the lives of innocent children, and unashamedly breaking the law in the state of Wisconsin. Their motives are clearly not in the best interest of women or children in Wisconsin, and they are showing their willingness to break the law to line their pockets on the lives of the most innocent members of our state.”
