Please Enter Your Comments Opposing New Stem Cell Policy

The official comment period has begun for individuals and groups to register their opposition to the Obama policy to allow federal funds to be used to kill living human embryos for research purposes. The comment period ends on May 26.

The Obama policy left the door open for approval of human cloning. As reported in this blog, NIH guidelines supposedly “limit” human embryo destruction to “leftover” embryos in in vitro fertilization clinics. However, several Congresspersons are poised to introduce legislation which they claim will codify the NIH guidelines, but will, in reality, allow creation of human embryos through cloning and other means to be destroyed for research.
