Wisconsin Right to Life was founded in 1968 and continues serving Wisconsin to make euthanasia, infanticide, abortion, and the destruction of human embryos socially, ethically, and legally unacceptable solutions to human problems and to promote positive alternatives to these acts. The vision of Wisconsin Right to Life is to change hearts and minds so that all will cherish human life.

Summary of the Role

The Regional Field Representative reports directly to the Chapter Growth and Development Director, this position includes the following counties: Sheboygan, Fond du Lac, Dodge, Washington, Ozaukee, Waukesha, Milwaukee, Walworth, Racine, and Kenosha. The Regional Field Representative assists chapters with leadership recruitment; retention, and development; engaging teen groups; and working with Life on Campus groups. The Regional Field Representative is also responsible for providing training for chapters at region meetings, chapter meetings, Board of Governors meetings, State Convention, and other venues as the need arises.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Chapter leader recruitment/training

  • As a primary responsibility, recruit and train leaders of non-functioning chapters in assigned region. Provide tools for organization of chapter and growth of the chapter.
  • Make training available to chapters upon request and as needed.
  • Areas of training might include: branding, how to use social media, how to run an effective meeting, etc.
  • Plan an annual conference along with other Regional Field Representatives, Chapter Growth &  Development Director, and other members of the WRTL staff.
  • Help set up booths at venues as needed to help promote chapter and state growth.
  • Provide collateral, display items, etc., from the State office.
  • Maintain a current list of chapter leaders and their contact information.
  • Develop and implement strategies for key areas of the state, especially larger cities.
  • Assist with grassroots election activities.

B. Region Activities

  • Provide leadership and expertise in region-planned activities.

C. Chapter/Region/State Communication

  • Be a communication link between chapters and state organization.
  • Share information on WRTL projects, events and need for assistance.
  • Share collateral with chapters to maintain brand that they can use locally to  remain a visible source.
  • Share with the state office materials that chapters need.
  • Call chapters at least 6 times per year.
  • Use email and other forms of communication as well.
  • Attend chapter meetings periodically.
  • Attend all region meetings.
  • Attend all Chapter Growth and Development Committee meetings.
  • Attend all Board of Governors meetings.
  • Participate in weekly Chapter Growth & Development meeting.
  • Attend bi-annual meeting with the entire Chapter Growth Staff including the Executive Director.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Past work in grassroots organizing is a plus
  • Must be highly organized
  • Ability to stay motivated while working remotely
  • Knowledge of Office365 products
  • Prior knowledge in CRM tools, use of Salesforce a plus
  • Ability to learn and use tools for canvassing work
