Significant – The Money Planned Parenthood Takes from Taxpayers

"Not only is Planned Parenthood demanding $1.8 million from the taxpayers of Wisconsin, but they were also just found to have made significant Medicaid overpayments in 2014,” stated Heather Weininger, Executive Director of Wisconsin Right to Life.

After Planned Parenthood announced their intention to have the state foot their attorneys’ bills (who charged anywhere from $450 to $600 an hour), the results of a Department of Health Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) audit were released. It was found that all five of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin’s clinics overbilled Medicaid by $52,193. Fortunately, in February of 2016, Governor Walker signed into law Act 152, which stops Planned Parenthood’s overbilling of Medicaid so this practice will no longer continue.

“It’s continually astounding to see how many ways Planned Parenthood tries to get their hands on taxpayer funds,” continued Weininger. “It seems at every turn, they are looking for ways to use the taxpayer’s dime to foot their bills. This only frees up more of their budget to profit off of the dismemberment of unborn children.”
