Statement from Wisconsin Right to Life on the Dismissal of Planned Parenthood President, Dr. Leana Wen
Today, in a shocking move, Planned Parenthood fired their president of less than one year, Dr. Leana Wen.
According to a tweet from Dr. Wen, she was notified of her firing after a “secret meeting” of the Planned Parenthood board of directors. The New York Times is reporting that the abortion giant is seeking a “more aggressive political leader” to take the helm as more and more states pass protective, pro-life laws.
Heather Weininger, executive director of Wisconsin Right to Life, said, “Dr. Leana Wen has released a statement stating that her sudden dismissal is a result of philosophical differences between herself and Planned Parenthood regarding the future of the organization.
Only days ago, an op-ed by Dr. Wen appeared in the New York Times in which she discussed her recent, tragic miscarriage of a much-wanted baby. Was her very public discussion of the terrible loss of her unborn child too much of a ‘philosophical difference’ for Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider?”
